GREEN BAY — A community in Wisconsin rallied behind an 8-year-old girl to show her support, love and that she’s truly beautiful.
It all started when Jimena Diaz-Vazquez started losing her hair at the tender age of five.
Berg’s mother told the TV station that the clothes on the woman in the video looked like the jeans and shirt her daughter wore on the night she disappeared — and the publish date of the video raised a "major red flag,” Sprenger said.
“That first initial thought is, ‘That’s my daughter,’ but I don’t know that.
The video shows a man talking about a date with a girlfriend until a door opens, revealing a woman tied up on the floor, crying. It gave me chills, it's hard to explain," said Kayla Berg's mother Hope Sprenger.
The video has been making the rounds on social media -- with some viewers believing it's missing Antigo teen Kayla Berg. Sprenger tells WAOW-TV that the outfit from the girl in the video could belong to Kayla. We do believe she was wearing that type of a shirt. In just three months, the video went from less than 20,000 views to almost a million.
The sight of the young woman, apparently held captive, “gave me chills,” Berg’s mother, Hope Sprenger, told WAOW-TV. “I pray to God it’s not.” Sprenger said the minute-long video, which was removed from You Tube as of Tuesday morning, appeared only two months after her 15-year-old daughter went missing. The original video displayed a message from You Tube saying that it violated the site’s harassment and bullying policies.
With the school year right around the corner, Jimena posted to Facebook saying the only thing she wanted for back to school was a new wig to wear to class.
